the video is only 5 second long and in mp4 format. I click to add a video and it says it can take a few minutes as its turning it into a web friendly format. however this freezes the screen and i cant click on anything.

I had similar concern. Properly formatted background and mastheads videos would not populate my Portfolio template used upon upload. I solved it ... changed my Portfolio Template. Video upload, process works as expected. Change your Portfolio Template. Paul 5-20-25

Same thing happens here ... for 1-year+ .. no remedy. No help from Adobe support either.

@MichałRe

did you use an animated gif per @Nancy OShea ?

Nope, my video was 90 seconds long so gif out of it would be too big in a size or otherwise horrible quality. I have found the workaround for it though. My video couldn't get uploaded throuh the Safari but it got uploaded in Google Chrome.

Mastheads support all major image files.

Use an animated GIF instead of video (no more than 50 MB).

Does this mean that .mp4 is no longer supported? I have successfully uploaded .mp4 as background in the masthead as well as a normal page but I tried yesterday and today and it is no longer being uploaded. Will this be a problem caused by the latest iOS udpate?
