I can't work if Creative Cloud doesn't respond

I don't have time for this. Why can't I just download the last version and stop updating and upgrading? I am a simple single designer working from home. When Creative cloud is unreliable, Illustrator and InDesign don't work and I'm stuck. Clients are not happy. 

 

Why can't this be simple like for the past 25 years?

Now I can't run any of the versions. I pay $52.99 per month.  Why can't I use the versions I WANT AND PREFER TO USE?

You can turn off automatic updates in your Preferences. 

  1. In your CC window, click on your profile picture in the upper right and select Preferences
  2. Click on Apps in the left-hand panel.
  3. Move the Auto Update slider to the left.
