Question

I own the master collection cs6 - Cannot install on new window 11 pro N pc

So i deactivated & removed the entire collection on mz old PC, and have installed the master collection cs6 on mz brand new windows 11 pro PC.

Installed via the CDs fine except 2 MAJOR problems ...

- During the installation, it starts to complain about PxHIpa64.sys (which you installed) and upon reboot it broke my pc. AKA wouldn´t boot into windows stuck in a windows repair loop!!!

Took a few hours to get pc back up and running by renaming the file via safemode.

- Now problem 2 I cannot access anything to do with adobe login on that pc. Which means I cannot validate the software. I´ve tried multiple browsers / cleared caches / disabled any blocking software and all fail when you try and access any part of the adobe auth services:

Site cant be reached

ERR_Address_Invalid
etc...

I´ve even tried to run the "offline version" of the auth tool, and guess what, it links online version, exactly the same as above. It generates the code, but I cannot access adobe to get the response code.

Adobe cannot seem to decide if I´m in Germany / UK / or the USA as in the information at the beginning of the links.

How can I authenticate the software on the new PC?

@tlsff,

Windows Pro N is tailor-made for the European Union.  It's lacking some things that other customers have access to.

I don't know if this is related to your problems, or not.

That said, you have a brand-new machine, yet you're trying to install a 13-year-old product that was built for Win7 with Service Pack 1 and an OpenGL 2.0–capable graphics system.

That's a recipe for problems.

CS6 had a shelf-life of 3 - 5 years, after which you were expected to replace it.  It's now 10 years beyond its 'replace me' date and unsupported.  If you continue down this path, you do so at your own risk of failures.  Adobe can't help you with legacy software.

MODERN OPTIONS:
==============
Creative Cloud Bundles & Single App Plans for mobile, web & desktops

Creative Cloud apps work on these systems, no more than 2 versions back:

  • Windows 11 (64-bit) versions 24H2, 23H2; Windows 10 versions 22H2, 21H2;
  • MacOS 15 (Sequoia), 14.7 (Sonoma), 13.6.7 (Ventura).

Best of luck.

I had to do a full reset / reimage of my Work i9 Win11 Laptopafter rebooting post install of CS 6 (V5) of audition. Very frustating indeed. It took me 4 rebuilds to find that it's Audition doing it. I realise that it's elderly software, but when I bought Audition outright, I did not think that I was only buying it for 3-5 years. Wouldn't have bought it otherwise. Is there a way I can update my product so it doesn't ruin my computer, without giving yet more money to Adobe?

if you purchased within 10 years, you didn't purchase from adobe.  it's likely you bough an illegal cs6.

You may want to rename PxHIpa64.sys to PxHIpa64old.sys and try installing CS6 as administrator.

Thanks for the info, but it is a brand new freshly installed windows 11 pro N installation.
So I am already at this stage.

after you started the cs6 install you corrupted your computer.  there should be a restore option to completely undo all changes. did you do that?
