Question

I want to STOP assets from syncing

I'm getting dozens of popups a day telling me assets unable to sync all files. I deleted all the downloads, all the folders (as far as I know) and I'm still getting these popups. Not sure why I get these after deleting my folder on the HD and on CC. How do I make this go away. PLEASE - I do not want to fix this "feature" so please don't tell me how to fix it. I want it gone forever so I never get another prompt regarding assets. There isn't a single piece of art available that I can't find online at stock sites.

Hi Richard,

Please refer to the help document below:

Illustrator Help | Synchronize settings using Adobe Creative Cloud

If any of those worked, I probably wouldn't have posted. For example:

Enable or disable Sync Settings

To choose what gets synchronized, do one of the following:

  • Navigate to Edit > {AdobeID logged in} > Manage Sync Settings.
  • Navigate to Edit (Mac: Illustrator) > Preferences > Sync Settings.

Navigate where? Illustrator (CC14)? Nope, nothing there under the edit menu. Creative Cloud? Nope, nothing there either that says manage sync settings. In fact, I can't find manage sync settings anywhere which is why I posted here. First thing I did was try to find a place to turn it off.

OK. Found a place to turn off syncing. See what happens.
