is it a scam? email says individual memberships are meant for personal usage

I've received an email from what seems a legit adobe email address explaining that "Individual memberships are meant for personal usage" and asking me to move to a "team" membership.

Is that true?

In every cool marketing video I've seen from Adobe, they target professional freelancers.

Do people pay $55 a month just to retouch personal pictures of their pet?

anyone can use individual subscriptions (unless they're from a banned country like iran or russia). ie, it's even perfectly acceptable to adobe for a business to pay for 10,000 individual subscriptions using 10,000 email addresses/adobe ids.

and individual subscriptions can be, and are, used for commercial purposes.

Thanks kglad, I would think so. I'm suprised Adobe would send such a misleading email.

it's probably not from adobe OR they may suspect you're sharing your subscription with someone else. sharing (even with a spouse or offspring) is illegal.
