Hey guys and gals,

Seeing as most i can find on this subject is from 8 years or longer ago i need to ask this question as it’s pretty important to me.

Right now i use the photographers subscription for my work but i’m going to follow a new study in graphic design. For school i need to use the Creative Cloud Pro subscription and i can get the student subscription for it.

Here’s the important part. These days… Can i sell the pictures i edit and the graphic designs (posters, flyers, cards etc.) i make using the Creative Cloud Pro student subscription if i’m based in the Netherlands?

In short. Can i use it for commercial use where i’m located?

Hopefully someone can give me a clear answer to this.

Hi @Tim's Photography,

Welcome to the community! In addition to @kglad.

Using a Creative Cloud Student plan does not restrict you from selling work you create with Adobe apps. Designs, images, or other creative work you produce are yours, and you’re free to use or sell them commercially.

That said, it’s important to keep in mind:

  • You must have the appropriate rights to any third‑party assets used in your work (such as stock images, fonts, templates, or other licensed content).
  • If you’re using Adobe Stock or other included assets, their individual license terms still apply.

Tarun

If the business/school provides the apps as part of your employment/enrollment, they technically own the work you create with their plan. Talk to your HR dept or school administrator for clarification.

For this reason, it might be prudent to keep a personal plan for non-work/school-related projects. Less messy that way.  😉

Thank you a LOT @Tarun Saini and @kglad

That’s seriously a huge relieve to read. Some in the school where really adamant that you could only use it for school projects and lessons. I’m seriously glad that that’s not the case.

On the rights side i’m good. I’m the photographer myself on all images i work with and in general i design anything else that’s needed. I see it as a fun challenge to myself to not use stock assets and create fully unique designs. Non-the-less it’s a good reminder to anyone reading this topic in case they do use third-party assets.
