Lost Files?

I am not sure how to put this but I was a student in school and used creative cloud and several apps during my time. The documents were uploaded to the cloud and saved. I would even use them on my ipad or computer. I since graduated and signed up for my own personal use of reative cloud using the same school email and when I logged into illustrator (my main app), the files were not there. Its the same school email but I purchased the service now so Im not sure where they went. Does anyone have answers? I have tried doing the chat help to no avail and it told me talking to an agent is closed.
