Mac OS upgrades [When will Adobe Cloud apps stop supporting Big Sur?]

Does anyone know how long before Adobe CS will quit updating apps on Mac OS Big Sur? My MacBook Pro is a mid 2014 and Big Sur is as far as it will go. It won't run Monterey. My pre press uses a Kodak front end and they don't currently work past Bug Sur as well.

CS6 is the FINAL Creative Suite and it is from 2012 and is NOT being updated

Perhaps I misspoke, we have an ongoing licenses, paid for montly, for Creative Cloud prodcuts (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat). Asking how long it will be before beyond Big Sur will be needed to continue using the future updates of these.

These are user to user forums. No-one but Adobe knows for sure.

That said, let's speculate, taking Photoshop's track record as an example:

  • Photoshop 2022 (v.23 Oct 2021) - Earliest macOS version supported: Catalina
  • Photoshop 2021 (v.22 Oct 2020) - Earliest macOS: Mojave
  • Photoshop 2020 (v.21 Nov 2019) - Earliest macOS: High Sierra
  • Photoshop CC 2019 (v.20 Oct 2018) - Earliest macOS: Sierra
  • Photoshop CC 2018 (v.19 Oct 2017) - Earliest macOS: El Capitan

Best guess:

  • Catalina dropped in Photoshop 2023 (v.24 Oct 2022)
  • Big Sur dropped in Photoshop 2024 (v.25 Oct 2023)

Naturally this is speculation. Take it with a grain of salt. Anything could change.
