Question

MacOS Catalina overheating Adobe services

Hi, my Mac started totally overheating after I upgraded to MacOS Catalina when using, or for that matter not using, Adobe Apps. After checking in the Activity Monitor, I see that *CCXProcess* and *Core Sync* (both with the cloud app icon) are each using 80 Energy Impact. If I quit these in the Activity Monitor, the fans calm down. I tried to tell the Cloud App not to start at login, not stop file sync and other suggestions I have read in Adobe forums, but these apps still show up in the Activity Monitor.

Anyway even if I crash them and the fans slow down, the minute I start using an Adobe application, they get active again, and the fans are overheating again.

Is anybody experiencing a similar problem and have a solution?

update your cc desktop app (cc desktop app>help>check for updates).

Hi there, thanks so much for your answer. My Adobe apps are all up-to-date. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the cc desktop app, but the problem persists... Any other suggestions? I would really like to avoid having to reformat my entire computer...
