Question

Migrate Portfolio, business to personal, slightly confused!

I have searched both on here and Google but couldn't find anything that 100% matches.

If I have a Portfolio built using my work account [so my work email address], which is an Adobe for Teams/business account - and I'm due to leave this job and sign up to my own personal CC subcription, using my personal gmail email - can I migrate the site to that new subscription/Adobe ID?

Hopefully that's a strightforward question. I have read a few thing on the Adobe site and it mentions business to personal can be done, but that they ID's [or emails] have to be linked?! In my case, I want to migate from one subscription/account/ID to a totally independent one!!

Thanks.

Yes, I have previous found this page. If you click on the link in the Business Profile > Personal Profile, on the next page under 'Before you begin', step 2 states 'Ensure that your Business Profile is linked to a Personal account, not an Enterprise/Federated ID'. It repeat a similar thing at the botom of the page. This is the thing that confused me. As I mention in my original post, my work business profile will be totally separate to the new profile/subscription - there won't be a 'link'. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the process?

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. As you've used the word 'try' it sounds like you're not 100% convinced it would work?!

I can see there is an Adobe Portfolio dropdown under the Transfer Files header [on the link you provided], but the instructions for that start by saying 'Sign in to the Portfolio website with your School Account'. Maybe the process would be the same and work from a business account, fingers crossed?

I'm not ready to try as yet anyway, as I may not need to sign-up to a new personal subscription for a few months. I'm more worried about putting a lot of time and effort into creating a portfolio using my work ID and than not being able to migate it when required. Be good to hear from people that have done exactly what I'm hoping I can do.
