Question

Mobile Plug-ins and addons

it would be really cool to see mobile applications being able to expand their libraries with the use of plug ins and add on assets. I'm very new to the Adobe suite, especially on mobile Android, so if this is already a thing or simply an impossibility for some reason I'm unable to understand currently: I apologize.

In iOS at least, the traditional kind of plug-in is absolutely impossible. The traditional plug-in is added and becomes part of the original app. But iOS is designed to stop any changes to an app, from anywhere. Newer kinds of plug-in might use different technologies, but they would be a different app, and iOS has a habit of killing any app which isn't active. I can't see a solution, but maybe a new kind of technology will be invented by Apple in future for this important need.

It's a game of numbers.  Most add-ons are created by 3rd party developers for the lion's share of Windows and Mac desktop apps.  If developers see a big enough market for mobile add-ons, they will create them but not until then.
