MP4 previews not working via send a link on iPhone and iPad

Has anyone tried sending a link to a shared folder containing mp4 files and found that clients using iPhones or iPads can see thumbnails of the individual files but can't actually play the video previews? My clients were loving the ease with which they could sign off work from wherever they were using their Apple devices but now no one can see their graphics. Very annoying !!
