Question

Offline Adobe fonts when creative cloud app is unable to load.

The Creative Cloud app constantly has issues, and the Adobe Fonts I use for my projects keep going offline.

Firstly, Adobe, please come up with a different account validation method for Adobe Fonts or at the VERY LEAST, notify users when the app fails to validate a font and takes it offline, causing it to default to a substitute.

I’ve been dealing with this for a while now, but today its completely unusable. When I open After Effects after turning on my computer, my Adobe Fonts will sometimes be offline, but I won't receive any notification about it. I only catch it if I happen to notice it in the project file, or worse, I only realize it didn't use the correct font after I review the final render.

To fix this, I have to close After Effects, check the Creative Cloud app, and then relaunch After Effects. Only then will the fonts be back online. But that is no-longer a working fix.

I’m writing this post now because I need to deliver a final file to a client immediately, and I am unable to. Everything on my end is correct, but for some reason, Creative Cloud will not fully log in (despite the server status showing no issues). Because of this, it won't validate my fonts.

All the exports I just made are useless because they feature incorrect graphics with defaulted offline fonts. Worst of all, it looks like there is nothing I can do on my end to fix it.

It may not help you now, but if you do connect to Adobe Fonts, see here:

I appreciate you trying to help, but I already have all the fonts I need installed, and it says the font is installed on the computer so that it is able to be used with other apps. /

The problem is Adobe’s constant need to check to see if my subscription is active to let me use the fonts. But when their check fails, (even though I’m still paying them)  they deny me use of the fonts, even though they are “installed” on my computer.

You may want to start a new thread (alter the title so you don’t get a duplicate thread error) here:

At this time, several Creative Cloud services do indeed seem to be offline for me as well, notably Adobe Fonts. As a result, InDesign is unusable right now. And when visiting the Adobe status website, a red banner briefly flashes into view. It's very strange.
