Password/data breach?

Was there a recent data breach at Adobe? I just woke up to 2FA login request in the app that I do not recognize coming from the other side of the world. I was asleep while this happened so the request already timed out. However- it means a hacker got my Adobe email and password (fortunately it’s a unique combo not used anywhere else). HOW is that possible and WHY would anyone want my creative cloud credentials? To use Photoshop for free? Bizarre.

there’s been no data breech announced and others haven’t flooded the forums with this issue.

did anybody use one of your computers?

Weird! No, nobody has access to my computer. It’s a mystery… I’ve considered session hijacking but it seems unlikely because this was the only attempt the alleged hacker made. I also regularly clear cookies and run BitDefender after downloading as much as a photo. I don’t game or download software/extensions, other than Adobe updates.

i see lots of these (2fa prompts not triggered by me) from my microsoft account (which has a unique 15 character password with several non-alphanumeric characters), but none from adobe.

otoh, for years there have been posts like yours, and more commonly posts complaining of being forced (by adobe) to change their password because of account activity (or attempted activitiy).
