Photoshop and Fresco are not syncing with Creative Cloud on iPad os and iOS 16.5.1 (c)

Neither Photoshop and Fresco are not syncing with Creative Cloud on iPadOS and iOS 16.5.1 (c). Nor can I download a cloud document. Photoshop and Fresco (both on iPad) cannot see each others files.

I have:

- Logged out of Creative Cloud and all adobe apps on my iPad and relogged in.

- Deleted Creative Cloud on my iPad Hard reset iPad, re-downloaded and logged back in.

- To make sure it wasn't my internet service I turned of wifi on iPhone and both created a new document and tried to open a cloud doc. Both failed.

- Checked if any new PS or Fresco files created on iPad or iPhone are on Creative Cloud on iPad, iPhone, Mac, or web based Creative Cloud.

- Files cannot be shared from either PS or Fresco on iPad or iPhone.

What is working:

- Illustrator on iPad syncs with Creative Cloud and can open cloud docs.

- Illustrator and Photoshop on Mac are working as expected.

I have not used Photoshop or Fresco on iPad in a couple of weeks, so not sure when this problem occurred.

I also did a quick search on Apple iPad community forums to see if others are experiencing similar issue and did not find any posts.

Any help to solve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

This may violate the "respectful" part of guidelines so it may not reach the ears who need to hear this but this is so painfully common with PS and FR.  And truly only one of many problems with Adobe's abysmal integration rollout with ipad - for something like 6 years and counting.  I wish I could go back put the money I did toward the new gen of ipad pro with adobe compatability instead on a cintiq touch.

Is it too much to ask Adobe, once the unequivocal leader in graphic design software, for a product that helps us do our work efficiently in digital with a stylus?

Anyone looking for a rarely used 13" ipad pro bought for the sole purpose of using adobe tools for work? It's 80% useless without basic compatablities needed to work on projects between desktop and ipad - the limitations ALWAYS get in the way.

Hi @deanna25 ,

Thank you for reaching us. We are sorry for your difficulties. You mentioned that Photoshop and Fresco work fine n your Mac, but only the iPad has issues opening and syncing files. There might be some issues with iPAD. Please check if you have any pending updates for iPad; also, let us know the version of the Creative Cloud application on your iPad. You could refer to the below article for the workflow of the Fresco and Photoshop on iPad and let me know if this helps:

I appreciate all your efforts in resolving the issue. We hope to hear from you soon.

Thank you,

Neelam

Hi,

Thank you for responding.

My system and software versions are as below:

iPad Pro12.9" 4th Generation:

- iPadOS 16.6 (updated Tuesday, but problems persist)

- Creative Cloud V 6.8.1 (does not have sync issues)

- Photoshop V 4.7 (20230619.479)

- Fresco 4.71

- Illustrator (does not have sync issues) 3.0.4

iPhone 13:

- iOS 16.6 (updated Tuesday, but problems persist)

- Creative Cloud V 6.8.1 (does not have sync issues)

- Fresco 4.71

To try to isolate the problem:

- Permanently Deleted most files for Photoshop, Fresco, and Illustrator. A handful remain.

- Since Lightroom is considered in the Photoshop family, I fixed a nagging sync problem with Lightroom Classic where 26 files were stuck in the sync queue.

- iPhone has 38% available capacity, iPad has 81% available capacity: - lack of storage is not an issue

- Turned off wifi and bluetooth on both Mac and iPhone (also cell data and put in airplane mode) to eliminate sync issues with the iPad. And turned off comms on Mac and iPad to check if sync issues on iPhone existed.

- Reset iPad system settings

What works:

- round tripping between Lighroom on iPad and PS on iPad

- Fresco can send a file to both Illustrator on iPad and the Mac

- exporting from Photoshop (iPad only) and Fresco (both iPhone and iPad) to Save to Files

What isn't working:

- on iPad and iPhone both Photoshop and Fresco are saving locally, but neither are sycing to the cloud and cannot be seen on Creative Cloud on the web, iPad, iPhone, or Mac.

- Cannot open cloud files. Although new files created on Photoshop on the Mac will appear on the Your Files (Photoshop) and Files (Fresco) they cannot be opened. Occassionaly an error appears that says something like your request has timed out, but most of the time it just spins until I either click on Cancel or completely close the app from the app launcher.

Like I said earlier, I do not know how long this has been occuring as I have been using Photoshop on iPad for round-tripping with Lightroom for iPad and Fresco hasn't been used for a while.

I appreciate any help you can give to get my workflow moving smoothly. Thank you
