Problems with aligning rollover text vertically in Portfolio using Thomas

Hey good people,

I'm using Portfolio to set up my website, and using the Thomas Template. When I try to set the cover text for the rollovers to align it vertically, it's supposed to be set in the centre when choosing centre, right? No matter what I do, I can't get it to align to the centre. Top and Bottom Alignment is also out of whack globally. Anyone know how to fix this? Any help would be much appreciated, I feel like I've tried everything. See attached image. That's not what it's supposed to look like when choosing centre in my mind.
