Promotional Messages from Adobe in Creative Cloud App

I rely on the Creative Cloud app (Mac) to alert me when updates are available for my installed products.

However recently I have started getting the red dot (notification) only to find that it is a purely promotional message from Adobe. 

I cannot see any way to opt out of these messages which I feel are just a distraction/interruption and not in line with "expected" (and important) notifications. If these were emails I could opt out. But with the Creative Cloud app - can I???
