Quitting Creative Cloud abonnement

If I quit my Creative Cloud abonnement, which is a year-contract, I don't need to pay on monthly right? I'm confused becausd it's a year contract

The early termination fee is 50%.  To avoid penalty fees, wait until your 12th month of service to cancel before it automatically renews for another year.  You can find your renewal date below. Set a reminder on your smartphone or Google calendar.

in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human
inform the agent that you want to cancel.
