I am also having frustrations editing my portfolio site.  Hopefully this thread is still active for some...

 

I would like to have a collections page as the home, with 4 categories and no menu. Then each collection would then have another level of thumbnails for each project, clicking through to level 3 being project detail. 

 

Already created collection pages, and partitioned out the pages per collection. but now my site looks like this:

dyer.design

 

Is what I want possible using Adobe portfolio?

    I just saw this post and hope this reply finds you. I think from the description you are giving, is that you want pop up menus to appear when you rollover each category. This is not possible with the portfolio product.
