Question

Recovering personal data in case of ceising the services

Hello, it appears that it can be challenging to directly communicate with Adobe unless you are already a paying customer. Quite frankly, it looks like it's not that simple either as a paying customer, team or a business. Hopefully it is for Enterprises. This limited accessibility to support raises some concerns and may impact one's perception of Adobe's customer service.

It's worth noting that when using Adobe CC programs like Photoshop or Premiere, users don't have the option to own a physical or digital copy of the software. Instead, they rely on Adobe's systems for access and functionality. However, I do have a question regarding data and backups in case Adobe were to discontinue their services. Are there any legal rights or terms of service in place to ensure that businesses won't lose their data and backups? I haven't come across any explicit promises in my search, but it would be helpful to know if such guarantees exist. While it might be trendy to be a paying customer without actual ownership, it's important to consider the potential impact if Adobe were to halt their services for any reason, no matter how unlikely. I simply want to ensure that we have safeguards in place so that we don't risk losing everything, or anything for that matter.

Thank you kindly.

>consider providing a last stable version of each of their products as an offline tool

That has been asked before, and the answer was no

Except for the "small" programs Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements Adobe no longer provides a non-subscription version

I want to make sure I didn't phrase my previous question in a way that could be misunderstood, considering English is not my first language. I hope I made it clear that I understand there is no alternative to the subscription-based version. I'm just wondering if you addressed my question or if you were stating something obvious? Was the question towards Adobe; "do you have any plans for providing services after discontinuing your products to prevent us from being stuck with outdated projects and data?" like providing a last stable version of each of their products as an offline tool when they bring down their services. To that did they answer "no"?

I understood your question... the answer is still no

Adobe does not provide an offline (ie-serial number) version of subscription programs

you own your data and creations.  you safeguard those by having local copies of everything you create and value.

ie, relying on anyone's cloud storage to secure important files would be foolish.

Always have local copies of files, not just in cloud storage

I use a Sata docking station and SEVERAL 'bare' drives for backup of my desktop computer
There are many external drive devices, this is the one I use

Thank you for your response, and I appreciate the input from @kglad  as well. Data storage isn't my only concern. We do have multiple backups for everything we work on. However, in the event that Adobe discontinues their products, the project files and data become irrelevant. My main question is whether Adobe has made any promises regarding the provision of services after discontinuation, allowing us sufficient time to make a smooth transition. It would be reassuring to know if Adobe has offered any commitments in this regard.

Additionally, it would be highly beneficial if Adobe could consider providing a last stable version of each of their products as an offline tool in the event of discontinuation. Even if it requires a one-time fee, it would ensure that we retain the productivity of older projects whenever necessary. The alternative option of resorting to piracy is not viable, especially in a business environment. Having access to offline tools for legacy projects would greatly support our workflow and enable us to continue working seamlessly.

Just trying to find out if there's any comments regarding these.
