Server error syncing 1 file

I had a file which I deleted from my CC folder, but since then the CC server insists that it is still there, even though it isn't. I can't upload any file with that same filename, and I keep getting pestering messages informing me that this file cannot be synced even though there is nothing to sync. I have wiped every single thing from the CC folder and even gone so far as reinstalling my computer. Everything else and every other file works just fine, it's just this one filename that is particularly annoying. There's nothing to sync and nothing to delete! How do I get rid of this file off the CC server?

Correct answer Ken G. Rice

Thank you. It doesn't help. I've seen this article. It is useless for my case.

Please send me a private message with the names of the three files and a link to the upload of the Core Sync log files.

The location for each OS are:

  • Mac OS X: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CoreSync/CoreSync-yyyy-mm-dd.log
  • Windows: %APPDATA%/Adobe/CoreSync/CoreSync-yyyy-mm-dd.log

Note that on Mac OS X to see the user library from the Finder click on the Go menu and hold down the Alt/ Option key. Note that on Windows %APPDATA% is a variable that will change to the correct path depending on if version of Windows being used.

The original post is 1 and 1/2 years old and the solution was specific for that individual.

There is the help article on why files may not be syncing: Error: "Unable to sync files".

If this article does not resolve the syncing issue then please provide more info such as the names of the files (or a screen shot) and we will investigate further.
