Hi,

It's ridicilous that I cant share big files with my clients in cloud. My SVG is around 1GB and it cant be loaded in cloud. Also other formats like pdf is working very slowly and zoom is only 800%, like I need 6400%, I can easy do in local pc. I can't understand why cloud services is so limited and useless when computing power is unlimited in these days.

Maybe you guys can give me some advise? 🙂

Cheers

I am not sure why your avg file is so large? Can you share through illustrator. If not, Do you have Microsoft share point? You can share the file through email. Just choose to share your file vs attach.

SVG is merely XML code.  A 1 GB SVG is an oxymoron.  The whole point of using math-based SVG over pixel-based bitmaps is to REDUCE file size and maintain image quality at any scale.  As already stated, you should find out why your SVG file is so massive and streamline it before it comes back to bite you later.   You should have no trouble sending it by email.

Example of an animated SVG:  (Filesize = 1 KB)

<svg viewBox="0 0 160 160" width="160" height="160">
<circle cx="80" cy="80" r="50" />
<g transform=" matrix(0.866, -0.5, 0.25, 0.433, 80, 80)">
<path d="M 0,70 A 65,70 0 0,0 65,0 5,5 0 0,1 75,0 75,70 0 0,1 0,70Z" fill="#FFF">
<animatetransform attributeName="transform" type="rotate" from="360 0 0" to="0 0 0" dur="2s" repeatCount="indefinite" />

</path>
</g>
<path d="M 50,0 A 50,50 0 0,0 -50,0Z" transform="matrix(0.866, -0.5, 0.5, 0.866, 80, 80)" />
</svg>

What is the purpose for that svg file?

Why is it so large?

I see 2 uses for svg: EPUBs/Web-PDFs and WEB-PAGES. If someone come to a page which is loading endless he will stopp visiting that page. If someone has an EPUB or PDF file with that size he gots full of his reading devices.

I thik it is important in this case to discuass about alternatives.
