Signing in to CC 2020 applications

We have been using CC2020 for several months and we could launch InDesign and Acrobat by just double-clicking on a file.  Now, for some reason, we are asked to sign in when we want to view a PDF or launch InDesign.  This is really annoying.  Can we revert to using Creative Cloud without the extra step?
