Subscription fees: month-to-month

I was kind of disappointed recently to learn that there isn't an option to pause my Creative Cloud subscription. It wasn't immediately apparent to me that there was even a monthly subscription option for Adobe Creative Cloud and I was under the impression that the minimum purchase was for one year, and that it would roll-over to a month-by-month subscription after that. Apparently there is an option for a month-to-month subscription, but it's not immediately apparent or obvious in any ways and to top it off the amount your paying for the month-to-month is so much more expensive then the year-long subscription that it's almost like so erronously more expensive that you'd have to be crazy not to just buy the year-long version. This used to be just a one-time payment and you got to just use the service and that system worked great.
