Sync folder?

is there a reason when I am on my ipad using illustrator I cannot access the "creative cloud files" sync folder? I can see it on my desktop, I can see it on the CC website and on the ipad app but when I open illustrator for ipad to access files there is no option to select your sync folder or even view the files in it.

I would like to be able to work from ipad and desktop saving the file directly into the sync folder so the copy is on my hard drive and Im not relying on the cloud to keep  important work files. Ive had bad expereinces with files disappearing or losing changes.
