Question

Sync is not supported on network locations

Hello,

Any idea why I would be getting this message when trying to sync to an external ssd?  It's not a network, and I could sync fine on my previous macbook.

Thanks.

I'm having the same message.

MacMini M1. Just upgraded from Big Sur to Ventura. Made a login account for a new user and now unable to set the CCF folder to a location on SSD. The rejection message is as in the title of this thread.

Logging in to a different user account on the MacMini and it still syncs to the SSD drive.

Any ideas on how to enable the selection of the SSD for the new user?

I've gone through reinstalling Creative Cloud Desktop and also running the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. Still getting the following message when trying to sync:

Sync Folder Selection

Sync is not supported on network locations. Please choose another folder.

I'm trying to use a SanDisk USB SSD plugged in to a MacMini M1 running Ventura 13.0.

Like the original poster, all had been fine using a folder on the SSD as the sync folder. The problem started a few days ago.

On my MacBook Air running Monterey 12.4 I am still able to sync to the USB drive.

Can anyone offer any insight as to the inconsistency or help on how to resolve the issue?

I now have this problem sorted (for now, at least).

I have an identical SSD that I use with the MacBook Air. This worked fine with the MacMini. I tested the cable by switching it with another and came to the conclusion that there was a problem with the original SSD. On further inspection I noticed that they were not formatted the same. The one that had stopped working was ExFat and the one whoch worked was APFS. On reformatting the problem SSD to APFS I was able to select a folder on it for my sync folder for Creative Cloud Files.

I hope someone finds this of use.

Yeah the exact same process, Macbook syncing creative cloud docs to an external ssd.

I'm using both a new macbook and also a new external ssd (although the ssd is the same model).
