Syncing files with another individual account

I want to sync files with another CC user. We want to sync our respective Creative Cloud Files folders so we can be working on the same documents and pointing linked assets to the same location. We work together all the time so we can set this up 'permanently'. We each have our own (i.e separate) individual CC accounts.

I've been reading about syncing files in this way, but if I'm understanding correctly it seems that this option is no longer available for Photoshop, Illustrator or Indesign. In any event, we want to share all CC-related files / assets, not just those for a particular app.

Can this be done, and if so how?
