Hi

I'm receiving the following error whilst trying to share a Creative Cloud document with a new employee.
They have logged into their Adobe account, and have Fresco set up on their iPad. They also have Photoshop and Creative Cloud set up on their Macbook. This was done very recently, so I assume the latest versions.

When I try to share an existing PSDC document with them, I receive the error: "There was an error sending the invite. Please try again".
This error occurs if I try to send the invite from:
 - macOS Creative Cloud app

 - web based CC file interface
 - a colleague's macOS CC app, with their login

 - a colleague's web CC interface, with their login

 - directly from any CC app, both desktop and iPadOS

All apps are the latest available as of today.
Signing out and back in has not helped.

This error does not occur when sharing with our other users, all of which have long time CC subscriptions. It only happens when sharing with a new user (CC subscription is approximately 2 months old).

Sharing the file to the new user and an existing user results in the existing user being added successfully and the new user not being added, followed by the red error message.

This is the first time we've tried using CC Files to collaboratively share work. Not a great start.

Correct answer chris.barrett

you're welcome.

Just as a follow up. I figured out how to work around this issue.

The problem I had was with a specific user. If I selected their name from the auto-suggestion list provided in the share dialogue, it would add their name to the list, as expected. However, with the users I was able to successfully share with, when I select their name from the auto-suggestion list, it would add their email address (and not their name) to the invite. If I manually entered the newer user's email  address (without selecting anything from the suggestion list) it would add the email and allow successful invites to be sent.

The invites will only send successfully if an email address shows in the share dialogue. If it shows a users' name, an error will occur.

reset the cc desktop app:

make sure it's in the foreground, then press:
Win: Ctrl + Alt + R
Mac: Cmd + Opt + R

if that fails, sign out and then back in to your cc desktop app: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/sign-in-out-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

Hi

Thanks for the suggestion. I relaunched CC desktop app as recommended, but there was no change. I can still share files with existing, older users, but not with our newest user.

I'd already tried signing out then back in again, but I tried this again after relaunching - same result: unable to share with newer user.

Many thanks

Chris

look for an update to your cc desktop app.
