Using an AMEX American Express card in New Zealand

I'm hoping someone has had a solution to this. I've recently moved my credit card from Visa to Amex and have discovered that for some reason Adobe doesn't accept Amex, which I find baffling as it's a globally recognised card like Visa. 

I can't use Gpay as I'm an iphone user and I keep clear of Paypal due to issues I've had with them in the past. That leaves me with no way of paying for my subscription. Creative Cloud is a nice to have for me these days, and not so essential, so I'd like to have it if I can, however, if I can't pay for it, then it's gone I guess. 

Anyone have a solution to this as it seems kind of nuts?
