USING Creative Cloud on 2 Computers

We have just added a second computer at home and want to have a selection of Creative Cloud programs on each (note that the only program duplication between computers will be Acrobat and possibly Illustrator).

As long as both computers are not using the same program(s), can a user on each computer, at the same time, use Creative Cloud application(s)?

For example, User A has only video programs open (Premier Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, etc), while User B has Illustrator and Acrobat open.

Is this allowed?

Donwh, the simple answer is that User A and User B must both have their own license to use the application. They can each use the application on up to two computers, but they will both need a license.

If you are asking on behalf of an organization, then I would recommend looking into a Creative Cloud for Team membership. It will provide you the flexibility you need, that is not offered with an individual membership. For more information see https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/faq/teams.html.

Adobe needs to catch up with the rest of the world, instead of gouging.

Microsoft has a flat fee for an SAAS Family version of Office 365 (6 people) for $11/month compared to $8 for a single seat. That's a 37.5% premium, not the 600% premium that Adobe would want for a family of 6 to each have their own copy of Creative Cloud. Norton has similar deals for the various options with varying numbers of seats - and no one has to pay a 100% premium for a single additional seat.

If Adobe wants to make more off families, the least they could do to emulate home SAAS use (à la Microsoft and Norton), is allow a total of 2 seats on a maximum of 2 computers before a second licence was required. As it is, they've priced themselves out of the family market, even for hobbyists with intense video or photographic software needs. Almost everyone I know that could make terrific use of CC, won't touch it with a barge pole due to the cost. It's just too much money for the average family (for both high and middle earners alike).

Just to be completely clear, Adobe do not offer any kind of family license. Your license is for you alone, and is not to be shared with friends, family, spouse, colleagues, staff, students, or anon who happen to find it on a computer. Speaking personally, I suspect Adobe don't see families as a target market. Maybe the phorography plan would be a good candidate for this.
