Versioning and Feedback Software

For those of us not in software development, client feedback and version control has been a bit of a wild west. I've come to belive that Adobe Bridge, with the right mods and some love from Adobe, could be made into an amazing way to control all your files, versions, and client feedback, but it's just not there yet.

 

I'd like to know if anyone has any recommendations for software that helps you keep track of your design versions and the client feedback on each one.

    If you wish to have remote feedback and version control per client, I'd recommend taking a look

    at frame.io

     

    Although mainly directed at video, it does handle a great number of file formats.

    I've tried it and it's…OK. I've even got clients who love it but I don't want to have to upload every single approval to their site. Plus, the clients I know who use it have a hard time getting people to post feedback *inside* Frame. 99% of the time they just email it back to me.

    I completely understand.

    I've had to do a lot of client education and wave the big stick.

     

    I usually convince them with the following:

    It gets to me faster.

    No misinterpretation of their feedback

    It lets me have lower billing for them because of efficiencies.

      Yeah - Git is what everyone says when I ask this question - except I'm not a coder. I'm a graphic designer so Git really isn't the place for us. Is it?

      Thanks but I wasn't really giving a note on Bridge, just that Bridge **could** be something cool. That's up to Adobe though.
