Came here looking for an answer and looks like this is it. I had a subscription for several years on the ipad. I disabled it for a year and came back to an empty folder. All my work for the past few years is just gone. I didn't understand that the app was ONLY using cloud storage, I thought it was local on my device.

Word of warning to anyone getting ready to back off from the subscription, a local backup is a must. Cannot trust the cloud storage. People are saying that you get 2GB free, but I have zero files now. So if they give you 2, it must only be if you use less than 2. I can't say how many GB i had a few months ago, but it was dozens of projects.

Access to all Creative Cloud apps & services will stop when your subscription ends.  That includes cloud storage, Adobe Portfolio website, etc...

Is there a way to save out the editable files? Do they remain within the cloud for an indefinite period of time--until I renew my subscription. Will they always be available? Or does Adobe delte the files after a certain amount of time?
