What is the Creative Cloud Files (archived) folder for?

I see its content mirrors the same stuff that's currently in my Creative Cloud Files folder on my Mac finder.

This effectively a back up of your Creative Cloud folder if you uninstall and re install Creative Cloud. The Creative Cloud folder is not deleted during an uninstall to preserve your data.

Is it possible to delete the archive folders if everything is alright?
