Will I lose my imported Adobe Fonts for my web projects if I downgrade my plan?

I’m currently on the Creative Cloud Pro monthly plan, but the 3 month offer I signed up for is about to expire and I’m about to be charged full price. I’m considering downgrading to a single app plan for Photoshop because that’s the only app I use the most.

I only have one concern, and it’s something I need to know: if I downgrade my plan, will it affect any of the Adobe Fonts that I’ve been using for my website projects? I’ve been embedding certain fonts in my stylesheets, and I don’t want to risk resetting my styles to default text if I stopped paying for the Pro monthly plan.

Thanks.

You won’t lose access to your Adobe Fonts Pro if you maintain one of these paid subscription plans:

https://helpx.adobe.com/fonts/system-subscription-requirements.html

  • Acrobat Standard, Pro, Studio
  • Adobe Express
  • Creative Cloud for Desktop
  • Single App for Desktop

But you may incur a 50% termination fee for early cancellation of your CC Pro plan.

To minimize the penalty, you might want to wait a few months before cancelling your current plan and getting a new Single App Desktop plan.

Hope that helps.

I decided to change my plan with Photoshop that came with the Adobe Fonts. Thankfully I didn’t lose my fonts and I didn’t face a cancellation fee either, presumably because I’m still a Adobe subscriber. It just depended on what deal I had that didn’t have any conditions to worry about after all. Thanks everybody, I appreciate your help.

Hi, thanks for the answer. As I said before, I had the plan for 3 months when it was on a special offer, are you sure that I could incur a termination fee? Wouldn’t completing the 3 month discounted plan already pass the early cancellation period?

@davidrizzuto98

start your cancellation and see.  you will be warned if there’s a penalty for early cancellation.

A quick search on the web turned up lots of websites with instructions to back up and restore fonts. I would do whatever I could to save my fonts, actions, preferences to avoid a nasty surprise.

Thanks. So that should mean if I swap the full Creative Cloud Pro plan with one of these then there’s no need to worry about fonts I’m using getting lost, correct?

Good question, I checked there is the standard Photoshop and the Photoshop Plan. I’m not really sure which is the difference tbh. All I know is Adobe Fonts comes with both.
