2 readers, one pc, authorize both at one account???

iI want to authorize 2 readers to one Adobe ID . My husband and I do both have a reader ( sony and Pocketbook) and we would like to read the same books on our own reader. We only have one laptop. Can anyone please tell me how to arrange that? will it be possible anyway? please explain step by step so that I can following them. I just searched for over three ours and did not find an answer. 😞
