2003 error when trying to authorize Overdrive and/or Bluefire

on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 version, to read digital books.

This all started when Overdive seemed to be unable to download a book - a process that had been working for hundreds of book downloads for 1.5+ years.  So I deauthorized, then went back to authorize, per something I found on google.  nada..........................  Now I am stuck.  Have started a new AdobeID, and changed passwords, back and forth, all to no avail................  Uninstalled Overdrive, reninstalled - same.  Got Bluefire - same.
