3M Cloud Reader hijacks ADE

My library loans books through Overdrive and 3M Cloud Reader, and I borrow from each.  Both use ADE, but the problem is that 3M uses a vendor ID to authorize my computer and ADE will not let me use use Overdrive until I erase the 3M authorization - which I cannot do since I need 3M's password to erase their vendor ID.  I can go into registry and delete adept key but that seems like such a crazy work around every time I want to switch between the two.  I just don't understand why ADE can't play well with both platforms.
