Activation problem

I have apparently an activation Problem. I have authorized my Computer with my Adobe ID but when I try to download a purchased book then the following message appears: "error; check activation". Does anyone have any idea what is wrong?

    Under most circumstances you can simply erase your current authorization, then re-authorize Digital Editions with your Vendor ID.

    There seems to be an issue with authentication right now, though.  It may tell you it's unable to and try again later. But doing the above will resolve this particular issue.
