Activation Server (adeactivate.adobe.com) Service Disruption

The activation server is experiencing an unexpected outage. An update will be posted upon resolution. Adobe apologizes for the disruption.

Any update over this?

I am getting E_ADEPT_IO for all books I tried to download. Previously things were just fine!

The Adobe Activation Service experienced an unscheduled service disruption starting on December 23 at about 0800 GMT (midnight PST). Some services were restored at 1200 GMT (4:00am PST), but many operations were still unavailable until 1530 GMT (7:30am PST). At that point, full service was restored.

Adobe continues to actively monitor the service, especially in anticipation of heavy usage during the holiday season. We apologize for the inconvenience this disruption has caused.

Please update your software so that an appropriate message is displayed when the server is offline. A message such as: E_ADEPT_IO ActivationServiceInfo Error%20#2032 is extremely unhelpful to an average user. I wonder how many support queries you could avoid by that simple change....

exactly !

iv installed and and uninstalled like 4 times now , thinking i was somehow doing somthing wrong .

taking the time to have the error clearly say the issue is with the activation server and not down to something you may have done would be so helpful.

im not great with computers and had no idea what the error code meant , and have almost lost my mind as nothing was making it work .
