Activation Server error - code E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY

I cannot authorize my computer to be able to access the ebooks I have downloaded. I keep getting this message:

"Activation Server error - code E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY

Digital Editions encounter an error on the activation server"

This is after I went through the process of deathorizing my computer and attempting to re-authorize as I would get a Error E_ACT_NOT_READY before when I tried to access an already downloaded ebook.
