Activation service error

Hello, this is the first time I need to use Digital editions and I need to authorize my computer.  I have not found any advice on how to fix the problem with activation service error (with or without ID). It says A_DEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED   And then - digital editions encountered an error on the activation server.

I have no technical knowledge and will very much appreciate a simply worded advice and I need it fast to start studying... Thank you!

OK, I did not have the same issue on the other PC. I have managed to authorize the other computer.

Adobe experts, you were not helpful.
