ADE 2.0 - books appear in software, but not on e-Reader

I'm using ADE 2.0 and transferred purchased books from Google Play to my Kobo Touch e-Reader.  According to the software, the books are on my e-Reader, but when I disconnect and try to view them on the e-Reader they are not there.

I tried the transfer using both XP and Win8, no luck.

No error messages or any other helpful information appears.

I contacted Kobo help, they asked me to contact Google Play who then asked me to contact Adobe.  Sigh.
