ADE 2.0 won't open after power failure

I was downloading a book from the library when the power went out for about 30 seconds. I was able to restart quickly but now ADE will not open at all. "Checking for a problem" comes on momentarily but flashes off. I am running Windows 8.1. Should I try uninstalling/reinstalling. I tried rebooting a 2nd time but that did not help.

    I found a fix for this! Apparently this can happen if ADE is open when you have a crash.

    Go to

       

    C:\Users\(YourAdministratorName)\AppData\Local\Adobe_Systems_Incorporate\

    Rename  Adobe_Systems_Incorporate\

    To

    xxxxAdobe_Systems_Incorporatexxxx.

       

    When you open ADE again this file will regenerate & problem solved
