ADE 3.0 reports "incorrect login ID or password for the selected vendor".

I have repeatedly tried being careful to put in my Google details accurately (since book downloaded from Google Play). I have also tried deleting ADE 3 and reinstalling, and re-downloading the book - all to no avail. What do I do next please? Any suggestions ??
