ADE 3.0 will not open

I was having trouble with ADE 2.0 haging up, so uninstalled it and downloaded 3.0. When I tried to open it the same thing happened: it begins to load then stalls and I have to End Program to clear the screen. I followed a member's advice and renamed My Digital Editipons in Documents, but this did not work. Any suggestions?
