ADE 4.0.3 keeps crashing

I can open the program and the books but it crashes within five minutes every single time I open a book. Unfortunately I do not know of another program to use to view my Kaplan E-book as it is not a PDF file. I really need to get some reading done but I can't and this is super frustrating.
