ADE 4.5.11 Crashes (Not Responding) When Trying to Open A Book

I recently installed ADE 4.5.11, and tried to open my first book, something I purchased from the Kobo store. However, whenever I double click on the thumbnail after importing the book, or right click and say "Read", the application becomes unresponsive. 

I'm on Windows 10, x64, version 1909. I've tried renaming the Digital Editions folder under My Documents as some others have recommended, but that did not resolve the problem.
