ADE 4.5.2 hangs when downloading book

I am using Overdrive connected to two different libraries. When I download a book from either source, the download appears to finish but the progress screen never closes. The application does not respond so I have to force quit. When I next start the application, the book appears to be there, but won't download to my ereader and won't open on my computer. Again the application hangs.  Very frustrating.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Erasing and reauthorizing, but nothing helps.  Any suggestions would be welcome.

    i have same problem .... FULFILLING CONTENT hangs as DE goes into a CPU loop. This has happened several times when downloading books from library. Some books do download, but I currently know of 2 books that fail 100% of the time. I have also uninstalled, unauthorized and everything else I can think of.

    This failure is under DE 4.5.2 and WIN10.  I also have older computer running DE 3.0 and WIN XP. I can download the same books successfully using that computer.
