ADE 4.5 Problem with authorisation

i have downloaded ADE but when clicking to authorise my computor  it comes up with " Connection Error, check you internet connection"  My internet connection is good so does anybody know how to deal with this?  I have had to use ADE as I am a Nook E Reader which has recently been sold to Sainsburys !!!!
