ade authorization

Hi,

I am attempting to authorize ADE on my computer to get library books from the ereader.

When I attempt, the closes I have gotten is a window opens that says "authorizing computer" with a bar below it, then an error message. usually it goes straight to the error message.

The error message says something along the lines of "connection error. digital editions could not connect to the activation server. Please make sure you are connected to the internet". I am connected, any help would be appreciated!
